Paprika (Leberkäse) is made from finely ground pork, bacon, and veal, seasoned with onion powder, white pepper, marjoram, cardamom, ginger, paprika, mace, nutmeg, and sweet and smoked paprika flakes, then baked to a golden crust.
Serve sliced with mustard (medium hot or Bavarian sweet), ketchup, soft pretzels, and potato salad. For a twist, pan-fry it with a fried egg or pair it with sauerkraut, a tangy cabbage dish.
